This Côtes du Rhône 2021 from Château des Tours, born of Grenache on rounded pebbles, is aged in neutral large barrels. It offers aromas of red fruits, garrigue and spices, a taut and mineral palate. Its precise freshness and fine tannins make it a wine to enjoy now or to keep for ten years, perfect with a Provençal daube.
A family estate rooted in Vacqueyras since 1935, where Emmanuel Reynaud perpetuates a biological and artisanal winemaking heritage.
- Terroir: Soils of rounded pebbles and sandy clay from the southern Rhône, shaping wines of distinctive minerality.
- Vinification: Natural method – indigenous yeasts, ageing in neutral large barrels, and absolute respect for the gobelet-trained old-vine Grenache.
Tasting notes for the Château des Tours Côtes du Rhône 2021 wine
To the eye – Deep garnet robe with silky highlights, of a chalky density that announces its structure.
On the nose – Tart red cherry, fresh thyme, cracked pepper, then a saline touch reminiscent of the winds of the Rhône.
On the palate – Velvety texture carried by a lively acidity, fine tannins and a mineral, long and taut finish.
Serve at 16°C in a medium-sized red wine glass to release its herbaceous aromas and freshness.
