The Château des Tours Côtes du Rhône 2009, from the clay-limestone terroirs of the Rhône, expresses the elegance of Grenache. Aromas of cherry, pepper and lavender, silky and fresh palate, mineral finish. Perfect until 2025 with game or aged cheeses.
A family estate rooted in Sarrians, at the heart of the Southern Rhône, where the Reynaud family upholds a winemaking heritage of rigour and finesse.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and rounded pebbles of the Côtes du Rhône, lending the wines a chalky minerality and structured elegance.
- Vinification: Aged in tanks and large oak vats to preserve the purity of the fruit, in a style that is both precise and generous.
Tasting notes for the wine Château des Tours Côtes du Rhône 2009
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with brick-red highlights, of a silky and dense texture in the light.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry in eau-de-vie, freshly ground grey pepper, damp undergrowth and dried lavender, lifted by a saline and spicy touch.
On the palate: A broad and velvety attack, driven by a lively acidity and chalky minerality, with a long and taut finish where candied fruits and liquorice notes intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to release its complex aromas.
Vintage 2009
A sunny and balanced vintage, where the summer heat ripened the grapes without diminishing their freshness, yielding a wine that is both generous and precise.
- Ageing potential: To be enjoyed until 2029, stored away from light and temperature variations (12–14°C).
