From the clay-limestone terroirs of Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru, the 2011 from Domaine Dujac is a barrel-aged Pinot Noir. Nose of red fruits, spices and a herbaceous touch. Silky, mineral palate with elegant tannins. Perfect for 5 to 10 years of aging, it pairs beautifully with meats and slow-cooked dishes.
Domaine Dujac
Founded in 1968 by Jacques Seysses, this family estate embodies the excellence of Burgundy wines, combining tradition and precision across the prestigious terroirs of Morey-Saint-Denis.
- Terroir: Limestone and clay-limestone soils of the Premiers Crus of Morey-Saint-Denis, where Pinot Noir expresses a chalky minerality and vibrant elegance.
- Winemaking: A respectful approach to the grapes, with natural fermentations and barrel aging to preserve the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Dujac Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru 2011
- Appearance: Garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
- Nose: Aromas of Morello cherry, damp undergrowth, soft liquorice and a hint of white pepper, lifted by a subtle mineral salinity.
- Palate: Lively and precise attack, silky tannins, taut acidity and a long finish on notes of cocoa and flint.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
2011 Vintage
A vintage marked by vibrant freshness and balanced ripeness, typical of Burgundy wines with their delicate aromas and elegant structure.
- Aging potential: Drink until 2028-2030, stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
