This Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2021 from Domaine Dujac, born on limestone soils in the Côte de Nuits, is a Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels. Notes of dark berries and spices, with a velvety and fresh palate. Perfect for cellaring until 2035, to pair with red meats.
Nestled at the heart of Morey-Saint-Denis since 1968, this family estate embodies the standards of an exceptional terroir, where biodynamic farming reveals the purity of Burgundy's finest grand crus.
- Terroir: Limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, between Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée, where altitude and exposure sculpt wines of a vibrant minerality.
- Vinification: A natural approach — whole clusters, indigenous fermentations and ageing in oak barrels — yielding cuvées of taut elegance and silky depth.
Tasting notes for Domaine Dujac Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2021
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with ruby reflections, of a velvety density, like a mineral velvet unfurled with precision.
On the nose: Freshness of wild berries and rose petals, followed by darker notes of prune and blood orange zest, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of gentle spices.
On the palate: Silky and tightly-knit texture, where a tart tension engages with a chalky minerality; the finish, long and fragrant, leaves an impression of dark fruits and liquorice, carried by a lingering elegance.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full aromatic complexity.
Vintage 2021
A vintage marked by slow ripening and preserved freshness, yielding wines of precise structure and vibrant energy.
- Ageing potential: Store for 10 to 15 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light, to allow its complexity to fully blossom.
