The Champagne Georges Laval Extra Brut Garennes, from a solera 13-22, draws its character from the chalky soils of Cumières. Vinified in barrels, this organic Champagne reveals notes of yellow fruits, citrus, and a toasted hint. The palate, lively and mineral, pairs beautifully with oysters and fish.
A family estate rooted in the chalky hillsides of Cumières, where passion has been passed down since 1971.
- Terroir: 2.5 hectares of Premier Cru vines, on clay-limestone and chalky soils of the Vallée de la Marne, shaping Champagnes of vibrant minerality.
- Vinification: Artisanal methods in oak barrels, with fermentations using indigenous yeasts to preserve the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for the wine Georges Laval Extra Brut Garennes Solera 13-22
To the eye – A pale gold robe, of crystalline clarity, with luminous and silky reflections, like a ray of sunlight on chalk.
On the nose – Fresh aromas of yellow lemon and tart apple intertwine with deeper notes of white flowers, toasted hazelnut, and a saline touch, evoking sea spray over the hillsides.
On the palate – The attack is lively and precise, carried by a taut acidity that unfolds into a vinous and chalky texture, before a long and saline finish, where the minerality of the terroir expresses itself with elegance.
Serve at 8 °C in a tall flute to preserve its freshness and aromatic complexity.
