Aurélien Suenen presents with La Grande Vigne 2017 an extra brut champagne made from Pinot Meunier, born on the chalky soils of Montigny-sur-Vesle. Fruity (apple, pear) and floral nose, a lively and mineral palate, silky texture. Perfect with seafood or to enjoy without waiting.
A family estate rooted in the chalky slopes of Cramant, where the vine has been in dialogue with an exceptional terroir for generations.
- Terroir: Chalky and clay-chalk soils from the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne, shaping wines of vibrant minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification: A meticulous approach, respectful of the fruit and the terroir, with cuvées sourced from unique plots and old ungrafted vines.
Tasting notes for the wine Aurélien Suenen La Grande Vigne 2017
On the eye: Golden robe with green highlights, of crystalline clarity, traversed by a stream of fine and persistent bubbles, heralding a silky texture.
On the nose: Aromas of crisp apple and Williams pear intertwine with notes of candied citrus and tart red berries, then open up to delicate floral touches and a chalky, almost saline minerality.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity that underlines the purity of the fruit; the texture, at once dense and airy, reveals a chalky minerality and a long finish, marked by a subtle salinity and a persistent elegance.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a champagne flute or a white wine glass to bring out its full complexity.

- Aging potential: 8 to 10 years, to be stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
