Marthe Henry Bourgogne La Monatine 2020 blanc, from the clay-limestone terroirs of Burgundy. This Chardonnay reveals notes of citrus and flint, a lively and mineral palate. Perfect with seafood or goat's cheese, to drink now or within 3 years.
A family estate rooted in Meursault, where Chardonnay expresses itself with understated elegance and mineral precision.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of Burgundy, between Meursault and the hillsides of the AOC Bourgogne, for a fresh and chalky expression.
- Winemaking: Gentle pressing, fermentation in oak barrels (partial) and ageing on fine lees, for a balance between purity and complexity.
In the eye: Pale golden robe, with a silky clarity, and green highlights that betray its youth and tension.
On the nose: Aromas of white flowers (hawthorn), lime, crunchy apple, then a hint of roasted hazelnut and a saline touch, like a breath of wind over the Burgundian limestone.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, driven by taut acidity and chalky minerality; the texture is round but never heavy, with a saline finish and a length that invites the next sip.
Serve between 10 and 12°C, in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to reveal its purity.
A vintage marked by early ripeness and a balance between freshness and concentration, ideal for white Burgundy wines.
- Ageing potential: Drink until 2026, stored away from light and temperature variations (12–14°C).
