Petit Mouton 2014
Le Petit Mouton 2014, the second wine of the renowned Château Mouton Rothschild, offers a refined introduction to the grands crus of Pauillac. Composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (81%) and Merlot (19%), this red wine draws its richness from a deep gravel terroir, sublimated by the temperate Médoc climate. Precise, parcel-by-parcel vinification takes place in oak vats, followed by 15 months' barrel ageing, guaranteeing distinctive elegance. The 2014 vintage, marked by a mild summer and sunny autumn, gives this wine harmonious structure and lovely freshness. On tasting, it reveals aromas of blackberry, graphite and black pepper, with a touch of cedar. Its supple texture and velvety tannins are seductive, offering a lingering finish. Perfect with entrecote steak or mature Comté cheese, this Petit Mouton 2014 is an accessible red wine, ideal for discovering Bordeaux heritage with panache.
