- Terroir: Gravelly and clay-limestone soils of Pauillac, the cradle of great Cabernet Sauvignons, conferring structure and minerality.
- Vinification: Aged in French oak barrels, respecting natural balances to produce wines that are both powerful and of rare precision.
Tasting Notes for Château Lafite Rothschild 2020
On the eye: A deep red robe with black reflections, dense and silky, heralding a generous wine of remarkable concentration.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by notes of cedar, light tobacco and a hint of graphite, lifted by a subtle iodine-tinged saltiness.
On the palate: Velvety attack, fine and tightly-knit tannins, a lively acidity that carries a chalky minerality, and a persistently long finish, marked by soft spices and a touch of liquorice.
Serving temperature: 16–18°C – Bordeaux glass to enhance its complexity.

A vintage of perfect ripeness, combining concentration and freshness, typical of the great wines of Pauillac.
