Tasting notes for Château Mouton Rothschild 1980
- Appearance : Garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of a chalky density and a velvety brilliance.
- On the nose : Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, blonde tobacco, aged leather and cedar, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of undergrowth.
- On the palate : Silky texture and velvety tannins, balanced by a lively acidity and a persistent minerality, for a long and harmonious finish.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
