The Petit Roy Hautes Côtes de Beaune Ronsin 2022 from Domaine Petit-Roy, sourced from Nantoux, marries red fruits and chalky minerality. Vinified with whole clusters and aged in barrels, this lively and silky Pinot Noir pairs well with meats or cheeses. To be enjoyed now or within 3 to 5 years.
A family estate rooted in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, where respect for the terroir guides every gesture.
- Terroir: The Nantoux plots, facing south-west, rest on chalky clay-limestone soils — a perfect setting for Pinot Noir, where the freshness of the altitude preserves tension.
- Vinification: A natural approach, combining whole clusters, semi-carbonic maceration and ageing in used barrels, for precise and vibrant wines.
- To the eye: A cherry-red robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
- On the nose: Aromas of fresh morello cherry, wild blackberry and violet, lifted by a mineral hint of flint and a saline edge.
- On the palate: A lively and taut attack, where the purity of the fruit balances with a chalky minerality and elegant tannins, leading to a long, saline finish.
To be served between 14 and 16 °C, in a Burgundy glass to reveal its complexity.
A vintage marked by early ripening and beautiful concentration, without excessive heat, preserving freshness and tension.
- Ageing potential: To be enjoyed until 2028–2030, stored in cool conditions away from light.
