The Bourgogne Aligoté 2018 from Domaine Petit-Roy reveals the Aligoté on the clay-limestone hillsides of Savigny-lès-Beaune. Aged 10 months in barrel and 2 in tank, it offers aromas of lemon and a mineral touch. On the palate, lively and silky, with a saline finish. Ideal as an aperitif or with fish.
A family estate rooted in Savigny-lès-Beaune, where respect for the terroir guides every harvest.
- Terroir: clay-limestone soils with a southern exposure, shaping wines of a chalky minerality and a characteristic tension.
- Winemaking: ageing in barrel then in tank to balance freshness and silky texture, with minimal intervention.
To the eye: a pale colour with golden highlights, of a crystalline clarity and a slightly unctuous texture.
On the nose: aromas of lemon zest and citrus blossom open onto notes of flint, oyster shell and dry hay, carried by a saline and discreet minerality.
On the palate: a lively and precise attack, where the taut acidity combines with an elegant texture, flavours of apple and lemon, and a saline and chalky finish of persistent length.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a medium-sized white wine glass.
A vintage marked by a fruity purity and a vibrant energy, reflecting an ideal climatic balance.
