Petit Roy Chorey-lès-Beaune Les Beaumonts 2023 red from Domaine Petit-Roy, born on the clay-limestone hillsides of Burgundy. Pinot Noir from 1962 vines, aged 17 months in old barrels: red fruits and soft spices. Lively, silky and mineral on the palate. Perfect for 5–8 years, with meat and cheese.
A family-run, artisanal estate rooted at the heart of the Côte de Beaune, where a passion for Pinot Noir is passed down with exacting standards.
- Terroir : 2.1 hectares of vines cultivated biodynamically on the clay-limestone soils of Chorey-lès-Beaune, where minerality expresses itself with finesse.
- Vinification : Respect for whole clusters, indigenous yeasts and ageing in old barrels for wines that are alive, precise and without artifice.
To the eye – A ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose – Aromas of morello cherry and fresh violet, followed by notes of undergrowth and liquorice, lifted by a saline and chalky touch.
On the palate – A lively and taut attack, carried by elegant tannins and a persistent minerality, leading to a long and precise finish.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
A vintage marked by a balanced maturity, where freshness and concentration blend in perfect harmony.
- Ageing potential : To drink now or to keep for 5 to 8 years in a cool, humid cellar.
