Petit Roy Bourgogne Challenge 2023 white, from the chalky terroirs of Chorey-les-Beaune. This Bourgogne Blanc, 100% Chardonnay, offers aromas of citrus and flint, aged in barrels. The palate is lively and saline. Ideal with seafood or fresh cheeses.
A micro-négociant and estate rooted in Chorey-les-Beaune, where the precision of the craft meets the Burgundian heritage.
- Terroir: 2.1 hectares in the Côte de Beaune, clay-limestone and marly soils – a setting for wines of chalky minerality and taut elegance.
- Winemaking: spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, aged in barrels without unnecessary inputs – a pursuit of purity and tension.
To the eye: a pale gold robe with green highlights, of a silky and vibrant clarity.
On the nose: notes of green apple and candied lemon intertwine with hints of hawthorn blossom, before a saline touch underscores the chalky freshness of the terroir.
On the palate: a lively and precise attack, carried by taut acidity and saline minerality, stretching into a long and elegant finish where citrus and flint intertwine.
Serve between 10 and 12°C, in a white Burgundy glass to reveal its complexity.
A vintage marked by vibrant freshness, where the balance between ripeness and taut acidity gives rise to wines of remarkable precision.
- Ageing potential: to be enjoyed now for its vibrancy, or cellared for 3 to 5 years in a cool, dark place.
