The Bourgogne De Sousa 2023 red from Domaine Petit-Roy, from old-vine Pinot Noir (1949) in Pommard, offers aromas of red fruits and spices. Aged in used barrels, lively and mineral, it pairs with meats and cheeses. To be enjoyed now or within 3 to 5 years.
A family estate rooted in the hillsides of Burgundy, where respect for the terroir guides every gesture.
- Terroir: Century-old vines from the lieu-dit Les Lormes in Pommard, on clay and limestone soils, shaping wines of deep minerality.
- Winemaking: Biodynamic approach and whole-cluster vinification, to preserve the purity of the Pinot Noir.
To the eye: Ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of morello cherry and wild blackberry, followed by a touch of liquorice and a saline hint reminiscent of Burgundian limestone.
On the palate: Lively and precise attack, silky tannins, mineral tension and an elegant finish with notes of undergrowth and gentle spices.
Serve between 14 and 15°C, in a Burgundy glass to reveal its complexity.
