The Petit Roy Hautes Côtes de Beaune Perrières 2023 red is born from the limestone soils of Perrières. This Pinot Noir, vinified as whole clusters, offers notes of red fruits and spices. Lively and mineral on the palate, it can be enjoyed now or over the next 3 to 5 years, with meat and cheese.
A small family négociant rooted in Chorey-lès-Beaune, where the precision of the craft meets the boldness of Burgundian terroirs.
- Terroir : The vines, cultivated organically and biodynamically, draw their character from the chalky soils of the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, where altitude and exposure sculpt Pinot Noir of mineral elegance.
- Vinification : Absolute respect for the fruit – whole clusters, indigenous yeasts, patient barrel ageing – for wines that are taut and without artifice.
- To the eye : A clear ruby robe, of a silky transparency, where the light dances with a chalky precision.
- On the nose : First the freshness of morello cherries and wild raspberries, then notes of violet and damp undergrowth, before a saline touch comes to underline the minerality of the terroir.
- On the palate : A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and silky tannins, while the long, saline finish leaves a persistent mineral impression.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full purity.
A vintage marked by a balanced maturity, where the coolness of the nights preserved the tension and precision of the aromas.
- Ageing potential : To drink now for its vibrant fruit, or to keep for 5 to 8 years in a cool, humid cellar.
