Domaine Roulot Meursault Les Meix Chavaux 2023, a Chardonnay from the clay-limestone hillsides of Meursault. Mineral and elegant, it offers notes of white fruit and a silky, lively, saline palate. Ideal with oysters or aged cheeses, to enjoy now or to keep for 5 to 8 years.
Domaine Roulot
A cornerstone of Meursault, this family estate has embodied for generations the understated elegance of the great white wines of Burgundy.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and rocky soils of the lieu-dit Les Meix Chavaux, to the northeast of the village, where minerality expresses itself with rare precision.
- Vinification: A respectful approach to Chardonnay, combining Burgundian tradition with a modern touch to produce wines of crystalline purity.
Tasting notes for Domaine Roulot Meursault Les Meix Chavaux 2023
To the eye: Pale golden robe with green highlights, of silky clarity that hints at a refined texture.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh lime, acacia blossom, and crisp apple, followed by a hint of toasted hazelnut and a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and stony minerality, leading into a long, saline finish of persistent elegance.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its complexity.
Vintage 2023
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration blend in harmony.
- Aging potential: 8 to 12 years; store under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
