The Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Malconsorts 1988 from Domaine François Lamarche is a rare Pinot Noir, born on the limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits. Aged in barrels, it reveals aromas of red fruits and spices. On the palate, silky and mineral, with fine tannins. Perfect for cellaring, it pairs well with game and aged cheeses.

Tasting notes for Domaine François Lamarche Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Malconsorts 1988
In the glass: a garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky texture and velvety density, betraying three decades of bottle maturation.
On the nose: aromas of ripe morello cherry, damp undergrowth, soft liquorice and black truffle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of blond tobacco.
On the palate: a precise attack, carried by a lively acidity and a melted tannic structure, where notes of black cherry, aged leather and a chalky minerality intertwine, leading to a long, taut finish.
Serve at 16–17°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 1988
A vintage marked by optimal grape ripeness, yielding structured and balanced wines ideal for extended cellaring.- Aging potential: still 5 to 10 years under optimal storage conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity, away from light).
