Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Malconsorts 1988 from Domaine François Lamarche is a rare Pinot Noir grown on the limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits. Barrel-aged, it reveals red fruit and spice aromas. Silky and mineral on the palate, with fine tannins, it is well suited to aging and pairs with game and aged cheeses.

Tasting notes for Domaine François Lamarche Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Malconsorts 1988
In the glass: garnet with brick-red highlights, a silky appearance and velvety depth that speak to three decades of bottle aging.
On the nose: aromas of ripe sour cherry, damp undergrowth, sweet licorice and black truffle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of light tobacco.
On the palate: a precise opening supported by lively acidity and integrated tannins, with notes of black cherry, aged leather and chalky minerality leading to a long, taut finish.
Serve at 16–17°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out its full complexity.
