Sourced from the clay-limestone soils of Vosne-Romanée, this 1er Cru La Croix Rameau 2000 from Domaine François Lamarche is a refined Pinot Noir. Nose of red fruits, mocha, and delicate oak. Balanced palate, silky tannins, and a mineral finish. Perfect through 2025 with red meats or cheeses.

Tasting notes for Domaine François Lamarche Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru La Croix Rameau 2000
To the eye: Garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky and deep texture, betraying an accomplished maturity.
On the nose: Aromas of morello cherry and fresh raspberry intertwine with notes of roasted cocoa, licorice, and a saline touch reminiscent of the limestone subsoil.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by taut acidity and chalky minerality, before a long and spiced finish where candied fruits and melted tannins intermingle.
Serve at 16°C in a Burgundy glass to unleash its full complexity.
Vintage 2000
A generous vintage, marked by a balance between ripeness and freshness, ideal for wines intended for cellaring.
- Aging potential: To be savored through 2030, provided it is stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
