From the clay-limestone soils of Saint-Émilion, Château Trotte Vieille 1996 (Premier Grand Cru Classé B) blends Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in oak barrels, it offers notes of dark fruits and spices with a structured palate. Perfect with game or cheese.

Tasting notes for Château Trotte Vieille Trotte Vieille 1996
To the eye: A deep garnet-red robe with tawny reflections, revealing a silky texture and a promising density.
On the nose: A generous bouquet in which ripe dark fruits, notes of liquorice, a hint of cedar and a subtle mineral edge reminiscent of the chalky soils of Saint-Émilion intertwine.
On the palate: A precise attack, carried by a lively acidity and tannins that are still firm yet well-integrated, giving way to a long, saline finish marked by a taut elegance.
