Tasting Notes for Château La Gaffelière La Gaffelière 2000
To the eye: a deep garnet red robe, of silky density, with still-vibrant hues.
On the nose: aromas of ripe blackcurrant, black redcurrant and soft spices, lifted by a hint of licorice and a subtle chalky minerality.
On the palate: a velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and an elegant tension, with fine tannins and a long finish marked by a delicate salinity.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully appreciate its complexity.
