The wines of Domaine Vincent Bouzereau: buy at the best price

Created in 1990, the Domaine Vincent Bouzereau is located in the Côte d'Or, in Burgundy. From a family of winegrowers, Vincent Bouzereau is the son of Pierre Bouzereau and the brother of Jean-Marie. To carry on the family tradition, Vincent Bouzereau and his wife Aline settled in the former priory of the Château de Meursault. The vineyard spans 11 hectares of vines planted with chardonnay, pinot noir and aligoté. Most of the plots of Domaine Bouzereau are located in the village of Meursault. The remainder of the Bouzereau vineyard is situated in the villages of Puligny, Monthélie, Auxey-Duresses, Volnay, Pommard, Beaune and on the hill of Corton

The vine plants are reproduced by mass selection and the estate's current vines are derived from pre-phylloxera selection. The harvests are done by hand and the winemaking is traditional. The ageing of the white Burgundy wines lasts between 12 and 18 months and that of the red Burgundy wines between 16 and 18 months before bottling. The style of Vincent Bouzereau's wines is precise and consistent. The Puligny Montrachet 1er cru les Folatières cuvée, made from the Chardonnay grape variety, has a highly mineral character owing to its calcareous debris. It is an elegant wine of great purity that becomes more complex with age. The Volnay 1er cru Les Champans is one of the flagship cuvées of the Vincent Bouzereau estate. It is a great Volnay coming from two micro-plots located on the Volnay hillside. Endowed with extreme precision and a deep red robe with brilliant reflections, this wine releases notes of small red fruits such as raspberry and morello cherry. The palate is silky and refined with a beautiful length on the finish and remarkable tannins, promising a fine evolution. The Volnay village from Vincent Bouzereau displays a bright ruby robe and aromas of violet, redcurrant and cherry. This wine has a delicate and nuanced concentration with a lovely freshness on the palate and a warm finish. The Meursault 1er cru les Charmes expresses a beautiful volume with a lovely, persistent palate. The red Bourgogne from Vincent Bouzereau is also very approachable and should be enjoyed within two years.
