Domaine Jobard Rémi offers two red wines: a Volnay and a Monthélie. The Volnay 1er cru Santenots has an expansive bouquet of small red berries, violet and cinnamon. Taut yet appealing on the palate, it displays beautifully rounded tannins. Elegant and refined, the 2009 vintage received a tasting score of 16/20 from RVF. It will keep for 5 to 10 years in the cellar. The Monthélie 1er cru Champs Fulliots is silky and fruity and will improve in the cellar for 3 to 5 years. The best red vintages are 2015, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2005 and 2002. As for the whites, the Meursault 1er cru Genevrières offers a palate that is both generous and taut, with a superb mineral finish; it benefits from decanting (17/20 for 2012 from Bettane and Desseauve). Rémi Jobard’s Meursault Charmes 1er cru is energetic and incisive, with a hazelnut finish; the 2011 received 16/20 from Bettane and Desseauve. The Meursault 1er cru Poruzots has a mineral thread on both the nose and palate; the 2012 received 16/20 from Bettane and Desseauve. These wines will keep for 6 to 12 years. Remi Jobard’s Meursault Narvaux is full-bodied, with a nutty tension. It will keep for 5 to 8 years, as will the Meursault Sous la Velle, Meursault Chevalières and Meursault En Luraule. The best white vintages are 2014, 2012, 2010, 2008, 2005 and 2002. Well regarded for their aging potential, the wines of Domaine Jobard Rémy are sought after by enthusiasts.
