Champagne Grand Cru Verzy Les Années Soléra Pinot Noir from Adrien Renoir reveals Verzy’s chalky soils. Made using the solera method and aged in barrels, it offers a lively, mineral, silky palate. An elegant Extra Brut to enjoy through 2030, ideal with seafood or pastry-crusted poultry.
A family estate rooted in Verzy, at the heart of the Montagne de Reims, where winegrowing heritage is passed down with dedication and respect for the terroir.
- Terroir: Chalky soils on the slopes of Verzy, a Grand Cru of Champagne, where Pinot Noir develops depth and minerality.
- Winemaking: A plot-by-plot approach, barrel fermentation with native yeasts and aging on the lees produce champagnes with precise, layered textures.
Tasting notes for Adrien Renoir Grand Cru Verzy Les Années Soléra
Appearance – Gold with pale highlights and silky clarity, with fine bubbles forming a persistent, elegant stream.
On the nose – Aromas of ripe white fruit (pear and apple) develop into notes of toasted brioche, roasted hazelnut and a saline touch, like a mineral breeze from Verzy’s chalky soils.
On the palate – A lively, precise opening, driven by bright acidity that unfolds into a velvety, almost chalky texture before a long, saline finish, where the complexity of reserve wines meets the freshness of the Grand Cru.
Serve between 8 and 10 °C in a champagne flute or white wine glass to bring out its full range of aromas.
Non-vintage
A solera-blended cuvée whose accumulated vintages since the early 2010s bring maturity and vibrancy into harmony.
- Aging potential: Enjoy now or cellar until 2030 in a cool, dark cellar (12–14 °C).
