Champagne Eric Rodez Ambonnay Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs, from Ambonnay’s chalky soils, is a non-vintage, biodynamic brut made from 100% Pinot Noir. Aged 70% in barrels, it reveals red fruit and nut aromas and chalky minerality. Lively palate, fine bubbles. Perfect with shellfish or for cellaring.
A family estate rooted in the heart of Ambonnay, where Champagne tradition meets a pursuit of winemaking excellence.
- Terroir: Chalky and limestone soils of the Grand Cru of Ambonnay in Champagne give the wines distinctive minerality and elegant tension.
- Winemaking: A blend of vintages aged in oak barrels yields cuvées that are both precise and profound, shaped by biodynamics.
Tasting notes for Eric Rodez Ambonnay Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs
Appearance – Gold with pale highlights and a silky, luminous texture, with fine, persistent bubbles dancing in the glass.
On the nose – A bouquet of fresh red fruit (redcurrant, raspberry), nuts (almond, toasted hazelnut), a chalky mineral touch and a subtle pastry note of warm brioche.
On the palate – A lively, taut attack driven by precise acidity and saline minerality. The velvety texture leads into a long, savory finish with nuances of ripe fruit and gentle spice.
Serve between 8 and 10 °C in a champagne flute or sparkling wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
Non-vintage

- Aging potential: Enjoy now or cellar for 5 to 8 years in a cool place away from light, allowing its aromas to develop.
