This Champagne Grand Cru Le Terroir from Verzy, a balanced blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, reveals aromas of apple and citrus. Aged three years on the lees, it offers a chalky and saline palate. Ideal as an aperitif, it can be kept for 8 years.
Adrien Renoir
A family estate rooted at the heart of Verzy, in the Montagne de Reims, Adrien Renoir perpetuates a viticultural heritage where the terroir guides every decision.
- Terroir: Chalky and limestone soils of the Grand Cru appellation, shaping wines of vibrant minerality and characteristic tension.
- Vinification: Organic methods and extended aging on lees for a pure expression and a silky texture.
Tasting notes for the wine Adrien Renoir Verzy Grand Cru Le Terroir
To the eye: Pale yellow robe with golden highlights, of a crystalline clarity and an unctuous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of Williams pear and crunchy apple intertwine with notes of candied citrus, white flowers and acacia honey, lifted by a saline touch of wet stone.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a chalky acidity and a persistent minerality, giving way to a long and saline finish where white fruits and a discreet toasted bitterness intertwine.
Serve between 8 and 10 °C in a Champagne flute or a white wine glass to fully reveal its complexity.
Non-vintage
A blend of the 2021 and 2022 vintages, this cuvée embodies the balance between freshness and ripeness, typical of the great terroirs of Verzy.
- Aging potential: 8 years, to be stored in a cool place (12–14 °C) away from light.
