Adrien Renoir Verzy Grand Cru Le Cépage Magnum 2022, from Verzy’s chalky soils. This 100% Pinot Noir Blanc de Noirs offers citrus and spice aromas after 24 months on lees in barrels. Silky, saline and mineral on the palate. Enjoy through 2030 with oysters or roast pigeon.
A family estate rooted in Verzy, a Grand Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, where its heritage is nurtured with respect for nature.
- Terroir: Chalky clay-limestone soils in Verzy, a home of Pinot Noir, shaping champagnes with vibrant minerality and taut elegance.
- Winemaking: A minimalist, natural approach using oak barrels and indigenous yeasts to reveal the purity of the fruit and complexity of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Champagne Adrien Renoir Verzy Grand Cru Le Cépage Magnum
Appearance – Golden with pale highlights and silky clarity, animated by fine, persistent bubbles like a veil of chalk suspended in the glass.
On the nose – Fresh candied citrus (citron, pink grapefruit) gives way to ripe white fruit (vineyard peach, mirabelle plum), followed by a spicy touch (white pepper, fresh ginger) and subtle mineral salinity evoking Verzy’s chalky woodland.
On the palate – A lively, precise opening, with a silky texture and focused acidity, reveals yellow fruit and fresh almond flavors before a long, saline and slightly chalky finish of remarkable tension.
Serve between 9 and 11 °C in a champagne flute or Burgundy white wine glass to bring out its complexity.
2022 vintage

- Aging potential: Enjoy now, with a peak between 2028 and 2030. Store the bottle horizontally, away from light and vibrations, at 10 to 12 °C.
