The Belargus Anjou Ronceray 2023, sourced from the limestone soils of the Anjou, is a dry Chenin Blanc aged in tanks. Its aromas of lime and flint precede a taut and mineral palate. Perfect with oysters or sushi, it can be cellared for 2 to 4 years.
Nestled in the heart of the Anjou, this biodynamic estate perpetuates a winemaking heritage where Chenin Blanc is expressed with rare precision.
- Terroir: Schistous and limestone soils of the hillsides surrounding the Abbaye de Ronceray, where the complex geology sculpts wines of vibrant minerality.
- Winemaking: Aging in tanks and barrels to preserve the purity of the fruit, with an approach respectful of natural rhythms.Tasting notes for Domaine Belargus Anjou Ronceray 2023
In the glass: Pale golden robe with green highlights, of a silky clarity and a crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of crunchy green apple, acacia blossom, candied lemon zest, then a saline touch evoking sea spray and flint warmed by the sun.
On the palate: Lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky texture; the minerality extends into a saline and persistent finish, where notes of Williams pear and flint intertwine.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a "universal"-style white wine glass to reveal its complexity.Vintage 2023
