Benoît Lahaye Grand Cru Brut Nature, a non-vintage wine from Benoît Lahaye, comes from the chalky soils of Bouzy and Ambonnay. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay ferment in oak barrels. Lively, chalky and structured, it reveals red fruit after 30 months on the lees, with no dosage. Serve chilled.
A family estate rooted in the Bouzy Grand Cru, where biodynamics and respect for the terroir shape champagnes of rare authenticity.
- Terroir : Chalky and clay-limestone soils in Bouzy and Ambonnay, two Grand Cru villages of the Montagne de Reims, give the wines distinctive minerality and unique depth.
- Winemaking : Artisanal methods, fermentation in oak barrels, extended aging on the lees and no dosage preserve the purity of the fruit and its natural tension.
Tasting notes for Benoît Lahaye Grand Cru Brut Nature
- Appearance : Golden color with green highlights, a silky texture and crystal-clear brilliance, revealing fine, persistent bubbles.
- On the nose : Fresh red fruit aromas (redcurrant, raspberry) evolve into notes of toasted brioche, white flowers and a saline hint characteristic of great chalky terroirs.
- On the palate : A lively, precise opening, driven by taut acidity and chalky minerality, gives way to a long, saline finish combining elegance and structure.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a champagne flute or white wine glass to bring out its complexity.
Non-vintage (NV)
A blended cuvée where balance comes first, reflecting the consistency of a style and mastery of an exceptional terroir.
- Aging potential : Enjoy now or cellar for 5 to 8 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C), away from light, to develop more complex aromas.
