Château de Fonsalette
A family estate rooted in the sun-drenched lands of the Rhône Valley, where the Reynaud heritage is passed down through cuvées of rare finesse.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils and rounded pebbles from the Côtes du Rhône, bathed in a temperate Mediterranean climate – a setting for wines that are both generous and precise.
- Winemaking : Aging in barrels to preserve the purity of the grape varieties, with a minimalist approach that allows the complexity of the terroir to express itself.
Tasting notes for Château de Fonsalette Fonsalette 2007
To the eye – A deep red robe with garnet hues, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose – First fresh notes of black raspberry and violet, then gentle spices (star anise, white pepper) and a saline touch evoking the garrigue of the South.
On the palate – A lively and taut attack, carried by tannins of chalky elegance, aromas of black cherry and liquorice, and a long, mineral finish of sapid freshness.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to fully reveal its complexity.

A vintage marked by a rare balance between maturity and freshness, where cool nights preserved the acidity and tension of the grapes.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed until 2030, provided it is kept in a cool cellar (12-14°C) and away from light.
