The Musigny Grand Cru 2020 from Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is born on the limestone soils of Chambolle-Musigny. This Pinot Noir (vines 40+ years old) offers aromas of dark fruits and spices, aged with 35% new barrels. Silky and mineral palate, with vibrant freshness. To enjoy from 2025 with game or aged cheeses.
A family estate rooted for six centuries in the sacred terroir of Chambolle-Musigny, where heritage is passed down with unwavering exigence.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and white marls of the Grands Crus Musigny and Bonnes-Mares, in the Côte de Nuits – a setting of minerality and elegance.
- Vinification: Measured aging in oak barrels, absolute respect for the fruit and old vines, for wines of rare purity.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes 2020
To the eye: Deep purple robe with garnet reflections, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Freshness of griotte cherry and wild blackberry, evolving toward notes of faded violet, soft licorice, and damp undergrowth, lifted by a saline and chalky touch.
On the palate: A velvety, almost caressing attack, giving way to a mineral tension and a lively acidity, carried by tannins of aristocratic finesse and a finish of saline and spiced length.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2020
A vintage marked by early ripeness and remarkable concentration, where the coolness of the nights preserved the balance and tension of the Pinot Noir.
- Aging potential: 30 years and more, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
