The Musigny Grand Cru 2017 by Joseph Drouhin, born on the limestone soils of Chambolle-Musigny, offers an elegant Pinot Noir. Floral and fruity nose, with a mineral touch. Aged in barrels (30% new), it combines silkiness and tension. To be enjoyed by 2035, it pairs beautifully with game and aged cheeses.
A family estate founded in 1880, Joseph Drouhin embodies Burgundian excellence across four generations of expertise.
- Terroir : Its Musigny vines, anchored on the limestone slopes of Chambolle-Musigny, draw a distinctive minerality from a brown and chalky soil.
- Vinification : Whole-cluster harvesting, fermentation in open vats and ageing in oak barrels for a pure and elegant expression of Pinot Noir.
In the eye: a deep garnet robe with silky highlights, of crystalline density.
On the nose: an airy bouquet of black cherries and rose petals, lifted by nuances of raw cacao, damp undergrowth and a saline touch of flint.
On the palate: a velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and taut finish, where gentle spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its aromas.
A vintage marked by early maturity and a rare balance between freshness and concentration.
- Ageing potential : To be kept until 2040 in a cellar at a stable temperature (12-14°C) and away from light.
