Sourced from the red clays of Bonnes-Mares, the Comte Georges de Vogüé 2019 is a Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels. Its aromas of dark fruit and violet precede a silky, mineral palate. Best decanted, it will pair beautifully with game and aged cheeses through 2037.
A family estate rooted in Chambolle-Musigny since 1450, guardian of one of Burgundy's most prestigious viticultural heritages.
- Terroir : 12.6 hectares of vines in the Côte de Nuits, where the red clay soils of Bonnes-Mares shape wines of rare depth and minerality.
- Vinification : Aged in French oak barrels, with a touch of new wood to preserve the purity of the Pinot Noir and reveal the soul of the terroir.
Tasting Notes for Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru 2019
To the eye – A deep cherry-red robe, dense and silky, where light dances across garnet reflections.
On the nose – Freshness of wild strawberry and blueberry, evolving toward deeper notes of prune and violet, lifted by a saline touch and a mineral breath of damp earth.
On the palate – A velvety and taut texture, where ripe tannins envelop a lively acidity and chalky minerality, leading to a long, persistent finish marked by hints of candied fruit and gentle spices.
Serve between 14 and 16 °C, in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2019
A generous and structured vintage, in which the summer heat ripened the grapes without diminishing their freshness, offering a perfect balance between power and elegance.
- Aging Potential : 10 to 15 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
