The Musigny Grand Cru 2021 by Maison Joseph Drouhin expresses the limestone soils of Chambolle-Musigny. Pinot Noir with aromas of violet and cherry, with nuances of leather. Silky palate, lively tannins and precise minerality. Ideal with noble dishes or to cellar for 15–20 years.
A family Burgundian estate since 1880, rooted in respect for terroirs and the art of winemaking.
- Terroir: the Musigny vines, in Chambolle-Musigny, flourish on a brown limestone soil, low in clay, where Pinot Noir reveals all its finesse.
- Winemaking: whole-cluster harvest, fermentation in small open vats and ageing in French oak barrels for a pure and elegant expression.
To the eye: a deep red robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: aromas of violet and fresh cherry, evolving towards notes of undergrowth, damp moss and a chalky mineral touch.
On the palate: velvety texture, delicate yet lively tannins, precise acidity and a long finish with accents of exotic wood and candied fruit.
Serve between 16 and 18 °C in a Burgundy glass to appreciate all its complexity.
A vintage marked by a vibrant freshness, where the balance between ripeness and mineral tension is expressed with elegance.
- Ageing potential: 15 to 30 years, to be cellared under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
