Maison Joseph Drouhin offers a Musigny Grand Cru 2023, an exceptional Pinot Noir born on the chalky slopes of Chambolle-Musigny. With aromas of violet and cherry, an elegant and mineral palate, it can be cellared for 15 to 20 years. To be savoured with meat in sauce or aged cheeses.
Founded in 1880, this family estate embodies Burgundian standards of excellence, combining tradition and precision across four generations.
- Terroir : The vines of Musigny, perched on a chalky terrace in Chambolle-Musigny, draw their elegance from brown soils scattered with pebbles, bathed in an easterly exposure.
- Vinification : Aged in French oak barrels, whole-cluster harvesting and extended maceration to reveal the purity of the Pinot Noir.
- Appearance : Deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of silky clarity and a chalky density.
- Nose : First violet and fresh cherry, then hints of fruit stone, before opening up to a mineral note of gunflint and a saline edge.
- Palate : A precise attack, silky tannins and taut acidity, carried by a chalky minerality; the finish, long and harmonious, releases notes of exotic wood and candied cherry.
To be served between 16 and 18 °C, in a wide-bowled Burgundy glass to release its aromas.
A rare balance between ripeness and freshness, where the terroir of Musigny expresses itself with a vibrant purity.
- Ageing potential : To be kept for up to 30 years in a cool (12-14 °C) and humid cellar, away from light.
