The Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru l'Artiste Pas Dosé LV22 by David Léclapart (Trépail, Premier Cru) is a pure Chardonnay Champagne. Without dosage, it captivates with its notes of citrus and chalk, a lively and mineral palate, and an iodine finish. Ideal with seafood or for cellaring 5 to 8 years.
An artisan winegrower from Trépail, David Léclapart embodies the union of a champagne heritage and pioneering biodynamic viticulture since 1998.
- Terroir: The clay-limestone hillsides of Trépail, Premier Cru of the Montagne de Reims, where chalk surfaces and sculpts wines of vibrant minerality.
- Winemaking: Cuvées on indigenous yeasts, without dosage or filtration, partially aged in used barrels to preserve the purity of the Chardonnay.
Tasting notes for the wine David Léclapart Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru l'Artiste Pas Dosé LV22
To the eye – A golden robe with chartreuse highlights, threaded by a ribbon of fine and silky bubbles, heralding a texture that is both airy and precise.
On the nose – Aromas of fresh lime and grey apple intertwine with notes of acacia blossom, before giving way to a saline and chalky touch, the signature of Trépail's terroir.
On the palate – The attack is lively, carried by a taut acidity that unfolds into a chalky minerality, while nuances of candied citrus and iodine extend the finish into a saline and elegant length.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a narrow Champagne flute to concentrate the aromas.
Vintage 2022

- Aging potential: 8 to 10 years, to be stored away from light and temperature variations, ideally between 12 and 14°C.
