Cristal Roederer 2005 Rosé
From the Grands Crus of Aÿ and Avize, the Cristal Rosé 2005 by Louis Roederer combines Pinot Noir (56%) and Chardonnay (44%). Vinified by saignée and aged 7 years on lees, it reveals aromas of cherries, spices and orange peel, a broad and fresh palate. Ideal with refined dishes until 2050+.

Tasting notes for the wine Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé 2005
- To the eye : A rosé robe with copper highlights, of a silky density, where light dances on brown-red nuances, revealing a generous texture and a crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose : First, acidulated red fruits — morello cherry, wild raspberry — giving way to deeper notes of candied mango, bitter orange peel, then a saline touch and a hint of liquorice, all enveloped in a delicate smokiness and sweet spices.
- On the palate : A broad and velvety attack, carried by discreet yet present tannins, where mineral freshness and a lively acidity balance an unctuous texture; the finish, long and taut, leaves a chalky imprint and an aromatic persistence where black fruits and toasted nuances intermingle.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a tall flute or a wide-rimmed champagne glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage of early ripeness, where the summer heat concentrated the grapes while preserving a remarkable acidity, offering a perfect balance between power and finesse.
- Aging potential : To be savored now or cellared until 2050 and beyond, in a cool cave (12–14°C) and away from light.
