The Dujac Morey-Saint-Denis Blanc 2018, an organic Chardonnay from Morey-Saint-Denis, reveals clay-limestone soils on the palate. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in barrels, it marries citrus, pear and bread dough with a chalky finish. Perfect through 2030 with seafood.
A family estate rooted in the Côte de Nuits, where the Burgundian heritage has been passed down since 1968 with exacting standards and respect for the terroir.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of Morey-Saint-Denis, the cradle of Burgundy's great white wines, shaping wines of chalky minerality and characteristic tension.
- Winemaking: Organic and biodynamic methods, fermentation in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts to preserve the purity of the Chardonnay.
Tasting notes for Domaine Dujac Morey-Saint-Denis Blanc 2018
In the glass: A pale gold robe with green highlights, of silky clarity and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe lemon and Williams pear intertwine with notes of acacia blossom, before giving way to a saline touch and a subtle evocation of toasted bread dough.
On the palate: Vibrant and precise texture, carried by a taut acidity that underlines the chalky minerality of the terroir, leading to a long and elegant finish marked by a persistent salinity.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a white Burgundy wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
