- Vinification : Fruit-respectful methods, aged in oak barrels for a pure and elegant expression of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques 1985
- On the eye : Garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of silky density and a brilliance subtly softened by time.
- On the nose : Aromas of candied black cherry, damp undergrowth, soft liquorice and black truffle, lifted by a mineral touch of flint.
- On the palate : Velvety and taut texture, where a lively acidity, a chalky minerality and a long finish intermingle, marked by notes of tobacco and soft spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
