From a cool terroir in the Combe de Lavaux, the Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Estournelles Saint-Jacques 2022 from Domaine Duroché is a Pinot Noir with notes of blackberry and violet. Silky and mineral, it can be enjoyed now or cellared for 8 to 12 years, ideal with red meats or cheeses.
Domaine Duroché
Five generations of family expertise rooted in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, where the terroir speaks with elegance.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils of the Côte de Nuits, shaping wines of precise minerality and rare depth.
- Vinification: Traditional methods, barrel-aged for a pure expression of Pinot Noir, balancing tension and silkiness.
Tasting notes for Domaine Duroché Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Estournelles Saint-Jacques 2022
To the eye – A deep red robe with garnet reflections, of a velvety texture that already hints at generous substance.
On the nose – Aromas of wild blackberry and fresh pomegranate, lifted by notes of violet and a saline touch, like a mineral breath rising from the hillsides.
On the palate – A silky attack, lively acidity and chalky tannins that stretch into a long, persistent finish, where dark fruits and gentle spices intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2022
A vintage marked by early ripeness and concentrated fruit, while retaining a beautiful mineral freshness.
- Aging potential: 10 to 15 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
