Tasting notes for Domaine Georges Roumier Ruchottes-Chambertin 2003
To the eye: A garnet-red robe with russet reflections, silky in density and crystalline in brilliance.
On the nose: A bouquet where ripe red fruits – black cherry and raspberry – intermingle with notes of gentle spices, a hint of licorice, and a subtle chalky minerality.
On the palate: A velvety texture, carried by vibrant acidity and mineral tension, stretching into a long and saline finish that reveals the full complexity of the terroir.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its aromas.
