This Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru 1998 from Domaine Georges Roumier expresses the limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits. This Pinot Noir offers notes of cherry, truffle and spices, aged in barrels. Its mineral and elegant palate pairs with red meats and cheeses, with aging potential through 2030.

Nestled in the heart of Chambolle-Musigny, this family estate has embodied Burgundian exacting standards since 1924, guided by a tireless quest for terroir purity.

Tasting Notes for Domaine Georges Roumier Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos de la Bussière 1998
On the eye: Garnet robe with tawny highlights, of silky density where light dances with a velvety substance.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, damp undergrowth, licorice and wild mushroom, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of blond tobacco.
On the palate: Fleshy yet precise texture, carried by a lively acidity and chalky minerality, with a long finish where gentle spices and melted tannins intertwine.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its complexity.
Vintage 1998
A vintage marked by generous ripeness, where the summer heat sculpted powerful wines while preserving the characteristic mineral tension of the great terroirs of the Côte de Nuits.
- Aging Potential: Drink until 2028–2030; store in a cool (12–14°C), humid cellar, away from light.
