The Christophe Roumier Ruchottes-Chambertin 2008, Grand Cru from Gevrey-Chambertin, born from limestone soils. This Pinot Noir, aged 16 months in barrels, offers aromas of red fruits and spices. On the palate, vibrant freshness, silkiness and chalky minerality. Perfect with game or aged cheeses.

Nestled in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, this family estate has embodied exacting standards and loyalty to the Burgundian terroir for nearly a century.
- Terroir : The vines of Ruchottes-Chambertin, planted on clay-limestone and marly soils, draw their mineral character from the steep hillsides of Gevrey-Chambertin.
- Vinification : Aged in oak barrels, with manual harvesting and plot-by-plot vinification to preserve the purity of the Pinot Noir and the expression of the cru.

- To the eye : A deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of silky density and crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose : First, aromas of morello cherry and fresh raspberry, followed by notes of violet, liquorice and a hint of undergrowth, all underlined by a chalky minerality and a saline edge.
- On the palate : A velvety and precise texture, carried by a lively acidity and elegant tension, where ripe red fruits, soft spices and a long, mineral, slightly smoky finish intertwine.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.

A vintage defined by slow ripening and rare balance, where freshness and concentration harmoniously complement each other.
- Ageing potential : To be cellared for 15 to 20 years in a cool cellar (12-14°C) and away from light, to fully reveal its depth.
