Christophe Roumier Ruchottes Chambertin 2008
Christophe Roumier Ruchottes-Chambertin 2008, a Grand Cru from Gevrey-Chambertin, comes from limestone soils. Aged for 16 months in barrels, this Pinot Noir offers aromas of red fruit and spice. On the palate, it is lively, silky and chalky-mineral. Perfect with game or aged cheeses.

Nestled in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, this family estate has embodied exacting standards and fidelity to Burgundy’s terroir for nearly a century.
- Terroir : The Ruchottes-Chambertin vines, planted in clay-limestone and marly soils, draw their mineral character from the steep slopes of Gevrey-Chambertin.
- Winemaking : Oak-barrel aging, hand harvesting and plot-by-plot winemaking preserve the purity of the Pinot Noir and the expression of the cru.

- Appearance : A deep ruby color with garnet highlights, silky density and crystalline brilliance.
- Nose : First come aromas of sour cherry and fresh raspberry, followed by notes of violet, licorice and a touch of forest floor, all underscored by chalky minerality and a saline hint.
- Palate : A precise, velvety texture, supported by lively acidity and elegant tension, with ripe red fruit, sweet spices and a long, mineral, lightly smoky finish.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
