The Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2016 (Domaine Georges Roumier) comes from Gevrey-Chambertin. This Pinot Noir, aged in barrels (30% new oak), offers aromas of black fruits and spices, a silky and mineral palate. Perfect for cellaring through 2050, it pairs well with game and cheese.

Tasting notes for Domaine Georges Roumier Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2016
To the eye – A garnet-red robe with deep reflections, silky in texture and chalky in density, already heralding the complexity of the terroir.
On the nose – Aromas of fresh black cherry, wild violet, and sweet licorice, lifted by a hint of damp undergrowth and a subtle mineral salinity.
On the palate – A precise and taut attack, where vibrant acidity marries silky tannins, while a chalky minerality carries a long and elegant finish, marked by notes of truffle and gentle spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its expression.

A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration intertwine to deliver a wine of great precision.
