The Guigal Côte Rôtie La Landonne 1993, from the Côte Brune, is a Syrah aged 42 months in oak barrels. Its aromas of spices, red fruits and pepper, with a herbaceous note, precede a powerful, silky and mineral palate. To be enjoyed with game or a mature cheese.

Tasting notes for Guigal Côte Rôtie La Landonne 1993
To the eye – A deep garnet red robe with tawny hues, of a silky density that announces a generous substance mellowed by time.
On the nose – First, aromas of candied red fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), then notes of black pepper, liquorice and a hint of leather, all underpinned by a chalky minerality and a touch of damp undergrowth.
On the palate – A powerful and fleshy attack, where the Syrah unfolds tannins that are still firm yet velvety, a lively acidity that brings tension, and a long finish marked by sweet spices and a subtle salinity.
To be served between 16 and 18 °C, in a Burgundy-style red wine glass to concentrate the aromas.
Vintage 1993
A discreet vintage with rustic accents, where herbaceous freshness and spices dominate, reflecting the moderate climatic conditions of the year.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed now or cellared for another 5 to 10 years in a cellar with a stable temperature (12–14 °C) and controlled humidity.
