The Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru Les Amoureuses 2022 by Joseph Drouhin, from clay-limestone soils, combines raspberry, kirsch and minerality. Aged in barrels (25% new), its silky and lively palate pairs from 2026 onwards with game or meat in sauce.
A family estate founded in 1880, Domaine Joseph Drouhin embodies Burgundian excellence across four generations of expertise.
- Terroir: established on the clay-limestone hillsides of the Côte de Nuits, the estate cultivates its vines biodynamically to reveal the purity of its grands crus and premiers crus.
- Vinification: a delicate approach, balancing tradition and precision, where aging in French oak barrels enhances without dominating.
To the eye: a deep ruby robe with cherry highlights, silky and luminous in texture.
On the nose: aromas of fresh raspberry and kirsch intertwine with deeper notes of forest floor and truffle, lifted by a chalky mineral touch.
On the palate: a velvety attack, carried by fine tannins and a lively acidity, while a saline minerality extends a long and elegant finish.
Serve between 16 and 18 °C in a Burgundy glass to fully appreciate its precision.
A vintage marked by early ripeness and aromatic concentration, while retaining a vibrant freshness.
- Aging potential: to be kept 10 to 20 years in a cool, humid cellar, away from light.
