The Joseph Drouhin Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru 2012, a Burgundian Pinot Noir, born on clay-limestone soils. Aged in oak barrels, it offers notes of raspberry, kirsch and truffle. The palate, silky and mineral, captivates with its freshness. Perfect until 2037 with refined dishes.
A family estate since 1880, Joseph Drouhin embodies Burgundian elegance, combining tradition and precision across the most prestigious terroirs of the Côte de Nuits.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils of Chambolle-Musigny, where Pinot Noir expresses finesse and minerality, shaped by a temperate climate and gentle slopes.
- Vinification : Hand harvesting, aged in oak barrels (including 25% new) for 14 to 18 months, for a pure and balanced expression of the grape variety.
In the glass: a deep cherry red robe, of a silky and luminous texture, heralding a wine that is both dense and ethereal.
On the nose: freshness of raspberry and morello cherry, evolving towards notes of kirsch, undergrowth and truffle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of liquorice.
On the palate: velvety attack, fine and taut tannins, lively acidity carrying a chalky minerality, long and elegant finish marked by a persistent salinity.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its complex aromas.
A vintage marked by optimal grape maturation, yielding wines of great precision, combining freshness and depth.
- Ageing potential : To be kept for up to 35 years under ideal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity and away from light).
