The Krug Grande Cuvée Édition 28 Rosé, from the chalky terroirs of Reims, unites 32 wines (2010–2016) in which Pinot Noir (58%) dominates. Notes of raspberry, peony and orange peel, precise bubbles and mineral freshness. To be savoured until 2030 with scallops or duck breast.
A legendary House founded in 1843 in Reims, Krug embodies the highest standards in the art of Champagne blending – a family heritage perpetuated with rare precision.
- Terroir : The vineyards of the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne, where chalky and calcareous soils sculpt grapes of distinctive minerality.
- Vinification : Meticulous blends of reserve wines, aged in oak barrels and patiently refined on lees to reveal an unparalleled complexity.
Tasting notes for the Krug Grande Cuvée Edition 28 Rosé wine
To the eye – A salmon-peach robe of delicate luminosity, where a fine and persistent mousse dances, like liquid silk.
On the nose – First the tangy freshness of raspberry and peony, then deeper notes of candied orange peel and white pepper, before a saline touch reminiscent of the damp stone of the great Champagne terroirs.
On the palate – A silky and vibrant texture, driven by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and elegant finish where vivacity and amplitude intertwine.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a champagne flute to preserve its aromatic finesse.
Non-vintage
This cuvée, the fruit of a blend of six years (2010 to 2016), transcends vintages to offer a timeless harmony, where each wine brings its unique signature.
- Aging potential : To be cellared for up to 15 years under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light), to allow its complexity to fully develop.
