From the clay-limestone slopes of Chavot, Laherte Frères Les Empreintes 2020 blends Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This Extra Brut champagne (3.5 g/L) offers vibrant minerality and citrus aromas. Its silky bubbles and saline tension pair beautifully with shellfish; enjoy through 2028.
A family-run house rooted in Chavot-Courcourt since 1889, Laherte Frères passionately cultivates its Champagne winemaking heritage and the expression of a distinctive terroir.
- Terroir: Clay, flint and schist soils over limestone, spanning the Vallée de la Marne, Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims—a geological mosaic that shapes wines of vibrant minerality.
- Winemaking: A biodynamic approach that respects natural cycles, creating cuvées in which freshness and precision meet with elegance.
Tasting notes for Laherte Frères Les Empreintes 2020
Appearance: Golden color with crystal clarity, crossed by a stream of fine, persistent bubbles like liquid silk.
Nose: First, notes of candied citrus—lime and pink grapefruit—followed by hawthorn blossom and toast, ending with subtle chalky salinity characteristic of Chavot’s soils.
Palate: A silky, taut texture, driven by lively acidity and saline minerality, leads to a long, precise finish with white fruit and a hint of roasted hazelnut.
Serve at 8–10 °C in a slender champagne flute to preserve the delicacy of its aromas.
