The Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits 1997 from Domaine François Lamarche reveals the soul of Burgundy's limestone hillsides. This red wine, with aromas of red fruits and gentle spices, offers a silky and mineral palate. Perfect with roasted meats or aged cheeses.
Domaine François Lamarche
Heir to a family savoir-faire rooted in Vosne-Romanée, this estate embodies the discreet elegance of great Burgundy wines.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Hautes Côtes de Nuits, where the coolness of the higher altitudes refines the ripeness of the grapes.
- Vinification: Traditional approach, favoring the precision and purity of Pinot Noir, without artifice.
Tasting notes for Domaine François Lamarche Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits 1997
To the eye: Garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky texture slightly veiled by time.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe morello cherry, damp undergrowth, sweet licorice and a touch of forest mushroom, lifted by a chalky mineral note.
On the palate: A tender and velvety attack, supported by a lively acidity and a saline minerality that extends into a delicately long finish.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 1997
A vintage marked by early ripening and supple tannins, today offering a harmonious and serene expression.
- Aging potential: Drink now, ideally stored away from light and temperature fluctuations.
